Brace face :)

As you all may know, I've been wanting braces for quite sometime now. And now they're finally here! I got them on in April and are adjusting to them fine. I brush after EVERYYY meal like supposed too! I'm taking great care of them. My mom is very proud of how well I'm doing with them; but she nags cause the mouthwash I need is 5 dollars a bottle and we have to buy a new one each week :)

Let's have some more change!

I was getting quite tired of having the same hairstyle for awhile now. So I decided to update my look. As you all probably know, I went to my dads for Spring Break. While I was there, Bonnie took me to the mall and we saw a place and agreed it was acceptable to get my hair done. I was so satisfied with my haircut. But it still just wasn't enough change. So, the next day, I had my dad dye my hair black. He did a great job. It turned out great. I absolutely love it. I am so happy with it :) Everyone at school loves it also!

Sunday afternoon the girls decided to wash the car. At least I think they were washing the car.

Greg's Audition for BreakSk8

Yesterday we went rollerskating. Greg felt so confident in his skating abilities that he recorded an audition for BreakSk8.

Bowl-a-rama Mama

Last Wednesday we went bowling. Greg was the winner in a very close game with Amy 105 to 102. The girls did great too! And we had a lot of fun.

When Emily comes down for spring break she wanted to go see Legally Blonde the Musical. So Greg went on-line to check it out and decided to do his own interpretation of the musical. Lexi captured it all on video. To get the full effect, tip your computer monitor on it's side.

R.I.P. Tyler Matthew Taulbee

I've dedicated a song to Tyler. Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

This is Tyler Matthew Taulbee. He passed away on February 14, 2009. He has been one of my best friends since 4th grade. He has always been there for me. No matter what situation it might be. Tyler sat next to me in band and would always sing "Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen" to me. I remember how in band we named our saxophones. On the back of our music he would always write "LEXI IS MY BEST FRIEND!" We also went around stealing all the pencils on the floor. We kept them in our band folder. I have so many more stories to say about him. But it'd take quite awhile to explain them. He was in my first 4 periods with me. We also sat at the same lunch table. Every time we would see each other in the hallways we'd always run up to each other and hug each other so tight. I just don't understand why he had to go. On Friday, the day before he passed away, I was talking to him on yahoo messenger. His last words to me were "When I see you when you come home, I'm going to give you the biggest hug EVER. I promise!" Recently, when I had visited home, I went to his viewing and his funeral and it just tore me apart. It didn't look like him at all. It was not the same Tyler I remembered. With the help of all of my friends we all worked through it together. Everyone was hugging each other, and crying together, and laughing about the memories. Tyler always had a smile on his face. He had the most incredible laugh. It made everyone else around him laugh with him. He had such an impact on every one's life. Even if he did not know the person. Tyler told me absolutely EVERYTHING! And it was mutual. Tyler didn't have a perfect life. He had a lot of struggles. And one thing Tyler taught me is, no matter what you're going through in life, there's always some reason to put a smile on your face. Rest in peace Tyler. You'll never be forgotten. I promise. I love you best friend. Save a pair of wings for me in heaven.

I shall name him Squishy; And he shall be my pancake!

First off, all I have to say is, You can always count on my daddy to put a smile on your face. The day after I got home I was still a little upset from the passing of my good friend and having to say goodbye to everyone yet again. My daddy knows how much I love pancakes. So, my daddy decided to make pancakes that night for dinner. I had just got done eating my delicious eggs I had made, and I was getting ready to take a bite out of my pancake when I realized it looked like a fish. So, immediately I got on the phone with Kristen. Her and I have 2 inside jokes about fish. Nemo and Trevor saying pancake. My daddy never intended to make a fish looking pancake. But it turned out to put a big smile on my face:)

Toto...I don't think we're at Indiana Beach anymore

Greg, Amy and Hannah went to the beach today. First time we've been to the beach in the 5 weeks we've been here. The water was cool but not cold enough to keep Greg and Hannah out. It was a nice little adventure.

Snow in Florida

Fred and Marcy Snow stopped in this weekend for a brief visit with us on their way to a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. We took them to Green Cay which is a really cool nature preserve. We saw 3 alligators! We had a really nice visit. It's the only way that "Snow" will come to south Florida.

Mini Vacation

Lexi flew for the first time this weekend as she went to Monticello for a weekend getaway to her friend Kristens house and to say goodbye to a friend that passed away. She had a great flight and a great time.

Hey everyone! Its emily:) I sure do miss my family in Florida, but I love being here in Indiana. Last night I went to the roller rink because one of my favorite teams from America's Best Dance Crew was in my city!!! I got to see them dance and skate and it was awesome. Anyways, I can't wait to see everybody down in Florida! I love you all<3>

Our First Miami Experience

Today we, along with Hannah's friend Brittney, went to Miami for the Miami Marathon. Almost 15,000 in attendance to race, but we were more interested in the sites. It was beautiful.

Notice the cruise ship in the background. We wanted to jump on it!

This was a huge fountain. We were so inspired by some of the runners. We've decided to run in next years Marathon for Team World Vision.

Learning to Ride

Bean Pie learned to ride her bike yesterday. After days of not wanting to, her new friend Brittney convinced her to take off the training wheels. She took right to it. No spills yet. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hannah's made alot of new friends in the neighborhood. They are very sweet kids.

This is The Lexi Show!!! My friend Alexis Alvarado invited me over to hang out yesterday January 9th. We had a blast! We ate some pizza, took pictures, and made our video. She's really starting to attach to me. She came here from Chicago 3 1/2 years ago. She told me that she is not quite used to it here either yet. She helped me realize that this will never replace my home. It's just my home away from home.

Our Journey Here

On our way to Florida we all decided that we'd been driving long enough and that we'd take a break. So, we ended up stopping at a steak'n'shake. Well, knowing my dad, he always has to make it a memorable moment. So, he decided to take one of Hannah's crayons and draw a picture. Well, thats how we came about pickle surfers! I thought this picture was just so entertaining I took a picture of it. I sent it to all my friends and they got a hoot out of it!
